Most of us who play the weekly Tournaments or at least some of them, complete them fairly early in the week. My suggestion for WGT would be to implement a (24 hour) Daily Tournament. This Tournament could be a "pot" tournament. Enter the Daily tournament by paying 10 credits. At the end of the 24 hour cycle, WGT pays out 80-90% of the total "pot" to the top 10 in the same manner any other top 10 payout would be. Of course, it would have to be Tier oriented to encourage the lower Tiers to participate also. Thoughts?

I would suggest checking out the Ready Go Tournaments. New ones start every 50 players that enter and there are a number of different entry options.

    You joined in 2011?

As mentioned take a look at Ready Go’s, I’m sure they meet your requirements?

For the most part, yes. Biggest difference, most of us dont mind spending 10 credits per day on a Tournament. 70 credits per week vs. Ready Go is a no go for most. However, I just noticed there is a 25 credit Ready Go now! 50 was lowest entry fee I've ever seen. Getting lots closer to what I was thinking!
