What constitutes a "Beautiful Shot"?

  When the sides of the screen start flashing, and sometimes they don't even flash but the "Beautiful shot" graphic still comes up. What is the difference, between the two, or what even makes a "Beautiful Shot" to begin with? Always wondered this, thanks!

  I think it is 3 feet at least in the PCEA version but perhaps I am wrong. I have been wrong a few times in my 68 years of out and out lies, exaggerations, and dogmatic pontification.

  You are indeed correct, it is 3ft, but sometimes you don’t get the flashing, but you also don’t get beautiful shot either.

  Thats my mobile play version of events.

  On mobile if you just get the flashing sides then your shot is inside 10 feet just like the heartbeat in CCTH games. However if you get a buzz like vibration and then the flashing sides it is inside 3 feet,

  Your talking about what happens when you play on your phone, as above always inside 3ft, that’s on my iPad anyway. You get nothing outside of that distance.

  Also I’ve had a few long eagle putts when I’ve had the flashing, it’s not a guarantee you’ve holed it but it’s very close, if not in!

  **edit** Just played RSG and on 18 hit it to 10ft, had the heartbeat/flashing sidebars but no ‘beautiful shot’ also I now think it’s within 3 yds not feet as mentioned.

  During play on the legacy PC game the peanut gallery guy will say, "Beautiful shot" for a merely ok shot. I tell him to be quiet and no matter how much he tries to flatter me his tip isn't going to be any bigger.

  We have had many fun conversations during play. A silly part of the game but gives me a few laughs along the way

  The "Beautiful Shot" thing is very inconsistent.  I've received it for a shot that landed 22 feet from the cup and didn't get it when I left my approach on the lip.  There's truly no rhyme or reason for this and the other game messages either.  The commentator's shout outs are similar...rather random and inconsistent.

  How about if you take away all the technology and just say any shot you are happy with is a Beautiful Shot.
