That 49 never appears with single play...

The "Special Events", such as this WGT LIVE SERIES, should ALL be SP for R1.  WGT_Champion can run other "for credit" tourneys with an unlimited play R1 for ball sales.  SP in special events would open up the field to some additional players and that would be great for the game.  There would still be the "usual elites", like THE BEST MOBILE PLAYER IN THE GAME (aka Birchi), qualifying, but, the "surprise qualifiers" would be fun to see for a change.

Great point... allowing the best players unlimited entry ensures only a handful of elite or what we can now call "esports professionals" since they are seeing Cash purses ... giving the professionals unlimited entry virtually makes it impossible anyone else will qualify.

If you look at how many times even 11th place will likely play to try and qualify, virtually everyone except the top 10 will lose credits even with the 20,000 credit purse.

It would seem, WGT earns enough in mindless ball hits without really paying anything out in credits in Turf Wars and Clashes that this unlimited entry is unnecessary.

They eliminated the tiers but increased the prize money to a massive   20,000   credits 😂

With the qualifier being an unlimited round that requires a bunch of restarts it'd be great to know some info before deciding whether or not it's worth going through that ordeal. Will it be 12 one-off tournaments or do we have some kind of yearly leaderboard/final tournament at the end of the year? What is the prize structure? Will the tournaments be played the same way as the Invitational last year?

Yes I noticed that a lot of the tournaments links to “Tournament RULES” go to a blank WGT screen. The New Live Series one specifically being kinda important as you said to understand the specifics, how the format works and requirements needed to participate in the live event itself.

Quick check of top 20 on leaderboard almost all Tour Champion level. I guess they didn`t name it WGT "Tour Champion" Live Series to allow the rest of us to waste our time and money in search of a miracle score.
