"Best Of" course.. ctth

  Nice concept. Always thought that would be a good idea for stroke or ctth. One thing though, the first 6 monthsall we played was Bali Hai. There has to be a Bali hole on the first WGT "Best of" 3 or 7 be nice ones.

  I would think it would be very easy to make several best of CTTH / Blitz courses.  I was trying to remember which courses were not represented in the initial 9 hole one, I know a few were left out but look forward to seeing 3 or 4 more of these in the near future.  I'm not as interested in having a 9 hole stroke or match play version.  I think having full holes from different courses sort of takes the flow out of the game.

  Very true,  yet if it was all Par 3's  your mind set would already be on  Approach shots and putts, which is only 1 or 2 shots a hole more than a CTTH.

  I've always felt it would be more rewarding to be able to finish the hole rather than just see how close you can get.  When I play CTTH, I always mute the sound.  Hearing the heartbeat immediately after you hit the ball takes away the thrill of watching the ball fly, land and roll up close ( or stick,  or even back up with those Cleveland wedges) to the hole.

  On a different note 9 Par 3's would mean more chances for people to practing putting.

  Heck instead of CTTH make a  Long Drive Competition.  That would make your Driving Range advocates happy.   Run a line down the middle of the fairway and score it:: Drive distance minus distance from the line.

  Anyway the 'Best of' is a good start.  Can't wait til next years Open though.  Maybe one of these days I'll get good at this game.

  I'm with you Jeff.  I generally mute my sound as well.  It is funny to see someone say nice shot while the ball is in the air though.

  I would like to see an all putting or par three Blitz / CTTH challenge as well.  Also maybe one with the US Open courses only and another with the British Open courses.  There are lots of possibilities, one nine with all shots from the sand, one with all shots over water, etc.

  It is a good start with many more possiblities.
