WGT Mobile vs Computer - 2 Different Worlds, Lots of Questions

  For some unknown reason I decided to check out the computer version of the game. The only version I've ever played has been the mobile version before today and it was sort of a  baptism by fire. LOL Okay, it wasn't quite that horrible (somehow I manged to win a 9 hole match play round 3 & 2).

   

  As you might imagine I was lost since there were no apparel upgrades and suddenly my drives were quite bit a bit shorter. Anyway, can I get some guidance on how to get acclimated to the computer version. Is one version decidedly superior over the other? Can I use my apparel upgrades in the computer version? I have a lengthy list of questions, so any helpful advice will be greatly appreciated. TIA

  Hello Brick,

  I'm going to assume by computer version you mean the version you can play on this web site by clicking on PLAY NOW to left there... <---

  You can't use apparel upgrades on this version.  (more commonly known as the flash version of the game).  That also explains why you can't hit your shots as far as you're used to.

  I wouldn't spend too much time getting use to it as it's slated to go way at the end of 2020.  There's a replacement version that you can download for PC over in this thread.

  I can't tell about better or worse, except that I love the PC game for the big screen and the mouse control of the avatar.

  The common ground is the account. Same login, same deposit, same equipment, same average, level and tier.

  Apart from that, fhere are major differences.

  Only on mobile, we have the apparel and the "mobile" games, HTH and coin rooms, war games, and the coins. Left handed avatars and "left side" controls are available only here.

  Only on PC, there are multiplayer stroke play and matchplay games, and assets like different avatars and the bags. Dunno if the challenge games (betting credits) are singular to PC(?)

  Early access, which Brad pointed to, is WGT's bridge between the two worlds because the well-known PC browser version lives and dies with Adobe Flash, expected to be available only one or a few years.

  Here is the thing.....If you enjoy golf whether it is Playing in "The Real World"...or watching the TV boys and girls do things we dream of .....Then the "REAL" PC version  is was and always will be the way to play WGT.....Can anyone tell me the last time they remember Tommy Fleetwood change his "SHOES" or dress like a "PIMP" and suddenly his it 10 yards past Brooks Koepka?? Of course not its as ludicrous as ANY mobile version currently available...BTW what are the coins good for anyway?? Please enlighten me..

  That being said change is coming like it or not...Either the techs get the "New PC/Mobile" version identical to the current PC (Which they could I mean they should own the TINS right?) Without the ability to play in foursomes, chose your course and conditions,play match and skins for "CREDITS" not coins that can actually be used for pro shop purchases...THE WGT  WE KNOW AND LOVE IS LOST!!

  Now my biggest hope is simple ...regardless of what you do WGT...PLEASE let the current PC version "ALSO" be available and let us worry about accessing flash when chrome and other browsers "supposedly " stop supporting it!! Because I believe  there will be ways to do that for years to come....

  Just my thoughts and wishes....(But I am a diehard Vikings fan and believe we have a chance to beat the Saints so what do I know!!)
