JDghost the Live Series and the European eTour events are similar but two different and separate tour series.
WGT Live Series - The Live Series is run by WGT where the top 10 players from the qualifying tournament play 1 round, 18 holes, lowest score wins. The 10 finalists play from their own locations (homes) on their own computers. Purse is in WGT Credits 1st-10,000 cr ... 10th-1,000 cr. This was technically the 1st live series event of the 2020 season as the previous one a few months back was a pre-season invitational.
European eTour - The first eTour event took place in Abu Dhabi. Those events are run by the European Tour and not by WGT. They have a first round qualification using “Set of the week” clubs, where the top 128 qualifiers move on to play in bracket tournaments to determine the top 8 players. These 8 players are then given transportation to and accommodations at the event location by the European Tour where they compete in a match play tournament at the eTour venue. Total purse is $10,000 USD. The “Made in Denmark” Tournament is the second event of the eTour.
The winner of each eTour event also gets a spot in the eTour Finals in Dubai in Nov (2020) where there will be a total purse of $50,000 USD!!
