  Trying to let my 18 yo son know I can relate to it. Believe I was 18 at the time and I'll never forget that I was on the 17th tee at the local muni with some friends and the guys coming off and getting into their cart said to us "Hey Guys, you here the news?". And that was how I found out that my idol and most favorite Yankee, Thurman Munson had just died in a plane crash, I was devastated.

  It is a sad and tragic accident. 

  My heart goes out to his wife and family.  Losing a husband and a daughter at the same time has to be very very difficult.
