Hello all, as you can see I am about to hit level 58. I was planning on buying the level 59 pings. However, with my average I am afraid I am going to hit Legend and I am unsure if the pings are even worth getting in the legend tier or if I should wait for something else? I feel I am too low of a level to be where I am at as everyone around me is way higher. Thanks

The L59 Pings are a great choice.  The High loft and additional spin (vs. what you have now) will help you tremendously at whatever tier you happen to be.  Buy them... no need to wait.

+1! Don't take any irons other than "High loft"!

Nevertheless, you may approach the subject differently.

If you are content with your irons in your setting as a TM, you may want to consider a purchase only after you turned Legend. That way, you'd have a chance to profit from a higher level choice.

You have some good advice already... but therein lies the dilemma I believe you may be concerned about --better irons will also likely help you play better speeding up a foreseeable promotion.

So, it really depends on a few things....

    How often are you playing...

Do you have a decent CDP streak going that helps you level up...

Are you flush with credits so you are not worried about future upgrades...

These are just a few factors to take into consideration.  On one hand, yes the L59 irons are a good choice, but you are also not terribly far away from the L85 irons... which you could test out to a degree by playing in the WGT etour event that is using them right now as part of the SOTW clubs for that tournament.

The L85 irons are a qualitative improvement over the L59... but it is quite a few more levels.  Which is why it really depends on how much you are playing, whether you have a CDP streak going, etc...

Are you watching the 2 credit videos to build up a credit bankroll or are you just planning to spend money when you upgrade?  This too impacts your decision.

Seeing how you are a member of The Bushwackers, you are likely already aware of the GOGF.. so that may be another consideration.  You have some very generous members within your club so this is another option.

Thinking ahead and getting the most value for you or someone else's credits spent if someone were to gift you.. is always a good thing.   Seeking insight, advice and comparing it with details of your own circumstances will surely help.

And here is a glimpse or snapshot of level progression that you can then figure or calculate approximately how long it would take to level up.

If you are earning X # of XP a day.. you can project a time frame to see whether it is practical to wait or purchase clubs at L59 versus waiting for say L85....  the higher you go the longer it takes... so the time it takes to level up then gets to be a much bigger factor … I definitely wouldn't pass up the L85 irons …

Level      XP needed    # between levels

    57 80,415 3,900
    58 84,415 4,000

    65 115,215 4,700
    66 120,015 4,800

Thank you to everyone who replied, I feel like its going to be quite a while before I would get to a level around 85 where others are saying to buy those irons if I could wait. I dont feel it would be worth playing through 20 levels worth with my irons at the moment. My plan is to get irons and a 3 wood and rough out the legend tier. I do not have many credits ab 500, so that is something else to consider. I enjoy match play and skins to earn credits which I have been working on doing. Thanks again

I'd suggest wait till lvl 90 and buy the TaylorMade set at that level.

There is a huge difference between an iron set with 4.5 rated spin compared to 3.5

In addition they're only a hundred or so credits more expensive.

In the meantime the M5s, at lvl 64 I think, would be the best choice if you feel you need to upgrade.

If I were to start all over I wouldn't buy irons until lvl 90, unless I could afford them.

Our members are exempt from the GOGF because I feel that would be a conflict of interest , However there was a member who joined the club at the same time as he was nominated and we did send him a couple of things . Wes has not been a member for very long but I think we can help him out along his journey .
