Besides being used to upgrade apparel the silver coins are really just used to wager in H2H coin room games. No real other use for them.

Can't you rent the coin club sets for a week with them?
Yes. put together a chart of a few of the lower end options for those interested but it mainly applies to new players who are waiting to reach higher levels where better clubs are available.
