How do I move up status to amateur etc, is it just keep plodding on?

Moving up Tiers comes through a mixture of your Average (at the top left of your Home Screen) and the number of Ranked Stroke Play rounds you have completed. Nobody knows the exact formula and it's supposedly different for everybody. But don't be too eager to progress - different Tiers mean harder conditions to play in. Your overall Level has nothing to do with what Tier you're in and is only useful for unlocking more equipment in the Pro Shop.
