  If I already own an item and the same item becomes for sale in the apparel menu, would buying that item increase it’s ability stats or would they remain at the level that are already at on the item I already own? Is it a waste of money to buy the item, as it will not boost stats. Or will it boost ability stats and be beneficial.

  Never buy an item from pro shop that you already own , it doesn’t add anything to the party. Instead play your apparel sponsorships with the companies that suits your game , ie driver length , or putting assistance , then use your coins to get them maxed out .
