It would be nice if we could do a little more to make our avatars look like ourselves. There's a nice bit of code that comes on a Nintendo Wii where you can create an avatar that looks remarkably like you, given the rather poor graphics of a Wii. You can select a head shape, hair style, skin, hair, and eye color, glasses, face fur, body shapes, height, etcetera, about 50 or so variables. It can't be especially complicated if a Wii can handle it.

Or, of course, for some of us we would like the avatars to look less like ourselves ;)

it's a good idea and you can do so from my profile. the actual in game avatar is not as simple because it requires alot of work make things look the way they do. so, it can't just be a simple drop in.

renniw52 has an avatar that looks like him.  Ren, how'd you get this custom avatar?

Yes, I meant the in-game avatar. Right now, mine is a sort of generic-looking 30-something white guy with dark hair.  If I was honest, I'd give him lighter hair and somewhat less of it, thicken the waist considerably and the shoulders and neck a bit, and give him a small goatee and a somewhat stooped posture.

Or else I'd make him look a lot more like Johnny Depp.

Agree - would like to add just glasses or sunglasses.   I'd even be willing to be able to purchase them from the pro shop.  It can't be that hard to add them to the avatar...
