I have mainly played WGT via the mobile version (ipad) and have got good apparel. I have recently started playing more on the web app but have no way of applying the apparel. Is it only on the mobile version? As suddenly all of the boosts i have grown used to have gone on PC.

Apparel item bonuses would only count towards coin room rounds. Unfortunately the web version does not have this format so you wouldn't see any of these bonuses from having apparel items equipped when playing the web format of the game.

Actually, it depends on which pc version you use. Flash based or the new version EA also released with download or thru steam.

Flash version the apparel is not in play. Unless there is a glitch and it slips thru, which has happened but not in awhile.

On the new version/steam version it plays similar to mobile.  Your apparel is in play in coin rooms, practice ranked rounds, clash rounds, and sometimes in play in AS games.  I havent tested every scenario, but normally when it is not in play you will see a shirt with line thru it showing it is not applied for that tournaments.  Ex of those would be ready go or tournaments with credit prizes.

Hope that helps. There is a link somewhere for the new version, but i have read mixed reviews on using the steam version, such as resource hog, and requires gaming PC.

One trick is shut down apps that load at startup. You can always click on the shortcut  to load them.

The only thing that loads on mine is necessary windows programs.

Thanks for the tip Don... I am not at that point yet, but will keep it in mind.

My old PC lumbers along with WGT in any version, but I monitor how much RAM and CPU are in use at all times and I don't notice any particular difference in performance or resource use when I'm playing the team version versus the downloadable EA.

Also the new versions are no worse or perhaps even better for me than the flash version using the same metrics.

I use a little free app named CleanMem which sits in my system tray and lets me right-click to clean my memory and my file cache at any time. So I do that several times during a round when I see memory usage starting to creep upwards, as it is wont to do.
