This is the best idea!!! In the long run you will want a high ball flight for the tougher courses and to be able to land the ball soft!

Thanks Jim....guess I will tough it out to lvl59 and get the Ping...my average is just taking a beating and I wanted to try and fix it sooner rather than later.

Seriously, Mag, try the Raptures. They will help a lot until then.

Just don't want to spend 1500 credits and then 6 levels later do the same again.

YankeeJim is like the Yoda of this site as far as i can tell (Although Yoda would not be a Yankee fan that is for certain).  I would listen to his advice, although i have a bit of my own.  Perhaps you might want to try the level 35 pings,in order to get used to the meter speed, so that when you jump to the level 59 pings, it won't be such a shock. All this is said assuming that is where you will end up, the level 59 pings.  Also keep in mind that the jump from the Burners that you have now to the level 59 pings as far as precision is concerned will drive you nuts IMO.  As i have recently moved from the level 35 pings to the level 59 pings and found a large difference in the precision, you will be making twice the precision leap.

I think the change is meter speed combined with the change in precision will be too much to handle all at once.  Plus i like the idea of keeping with the same type of irons, and just getting better versions as you progress.  At least that is what i did and i think it worked for me.

Agree with the "loft is life" whoever said it.

I could get the Taylormade lvl53  R9's now but the reviews i've read are none too flattering.

I'm am now more confused than ever and am learning to hate my lvl15 Taylormades more each day.

Don't. You're going to think yourself into a bad place because when you do upgrade your expectations are going to cause you problems when they aren't met. Then you'll really get into a hating mode and the game will cease to be fun for you.  Any set you use, you still have to learn the clubs. Jumping from one set to another is not going to fix anything or make it better. You're going to suffer a bit until you figure it out.

Going from what you have to a better version of the same thing will always work and keep your learning curve to a minimum. The lofted clubs will always be there when you're ready for a new challenge but you don't have to have them to score. I played the TMs for over a year until I tried the Pings. I didn't need to switch but so many of the good players were carrying Pings that you just couldn't ignore it.

Don't destroy your like for this game by thinking the grass is greener with different clubs. It's you against the game and until you max out what you can do with what you have, don't sweat what you could have.

Jim is right ...You can play this game very well with any of the better clubs if you stick with them and learn how they work for YOU. CHANGING CLUBS ALL THE TIME WILL DRIVE YOU NUTS.

Speaking of nuts..did Beernuts get away...LOL
