Question for big winners in the tournaments

  I play a bunch of ready go's and do well enough to pay for the Callaway balls I play.  I see some of the big winners (PGABound67) making thousands a month.  My question is, can you get the money from WGT, or is it just credits?  I'm not sure I'd want to know how to play for or win that much- you must be putting up a lot- but I'm curious of you can 'cash out'.

  Your career earnings cannot be cashed out, it's just a cash value of the credits/prizes you have already won. When you see people in the thousands as I am this month, it's mainly due to winning a big tournament. For me it was winning the Ketel One Championship, which was worth $2500, therefore that got added to my earnings this month, the rest of my monthly earnings has come from the nearly 300 ready-go's I've played this month lol. You can cash out your credits in the Elite collection of the proshop, but it's quite a substantial number of credits you need in order to get a gift card.

  Thanks, PGA.. Kind of a bummer that you can't get any money back from a big win like that.  I would say $2500 is pretty substantial, but you probably won't need to make another deposit in this lifetime!

  he didn't get $2500 worth of credits... his prize was worth that much and ITS value was added to his lifetime earnings..

  OK, now I'm confused..if he didn't get $2500 worth of credits, and he can't cash it in anyway.. what is the point of all this?  His prize is worth $2500 where, exactly?

  The $2500 the value of the trip he won!  You career earnings are also comprised of all prizes won!

  I think you guys are over looking that you can buy gift cards in the pro shop / elite section.. so in a way, you can cash out.
