Ball spin and wind direction

  Just curious on how to get maximum distances from my tee shots. With head wind I use a slight backspin. Hitting into the wind I use full front spin. Cross wind I use a slight front spin. Am I doing this correctly or no? Or should I use no spin at all?

  I usually play full backspin on everything except into the wind.  Only exception is on some holes where you have a big wind at your back and can potentially get a large roll.  Full backspin gets a further carry, but really cuts back on the roll.  If I'm on RSG or St. Andrews with a massive tailwind and want the ball to run I play no backspin.
