My last 2 head to head matches have ended in ties, and in both cases the CTTH tiebreaker has been a putt. Before today, that had never happened once in months of playing. Is this a new thing?

It just seems to be that a CTTH match tiebreaker on a putt is inherently unfair to the person who has to go first since the 2nd player gets to read the first player's line for the exact same putt.

I’ve seen ctth putting on Kiawah 17 and Royal St. George’s I think it was 9 not sure.  Probably others if those are possibilities

edit: Every time I went second in these putting contests I lost. One guy made a 99 foot putt to go first on the kiawah 17

The so called old tie breaker rule is not working anymore.

    I was in a bracket. We both shot a 27. (Wolfy b9)

My last 3 holes were Bird, Eagle n Eagle. I played first too.

My oppo missed an eagle n done both birds.

When the result came, i lost to him. May be because i was in launcher n he played in flash?

    Not sure!!

    Imahacker58:

One of the par 5’s at Chambers Bay has a putting tiebreaker, aim way left and hit about 72%  usually gets the lights flashing. There’s a couple of others too.

That's impressive that you can hit a specific % on all green speeds and get the same result.

I'm just surprised that putting would be used at all for a match tiebreaker. Compared to an approach shot (with vastly different clubs & options), putting is so reliant on the line that getting to learn from the first player's line is such a huge advantage. It's a much less 'neutral' tiebreaker, which is my original point.

To the person who told me to improve my putting, you're also missing the point, lol.
