56 at Chambers. Competent, but nothing special.

    Wk 25 / Chambers Bay / 68 (-3)

Got my usual eagle at the 5th, got my usual bogey at the 7th. Was -3 for the back 9 teeing off on the 17th, walked off with a double bogey, to drag a final birdie on 18. The thankful end to a terrible tournament

    Wk 25

Bizarre front 9 starting off with a double bogey, only 1 par, and finishing the front 1 under!

    3 under 68 total.

63 for me this week @ Chambers Bay.  The highlight of my round was 7-8-9 where I sunk two 18-foot breakers for birdie and eagle and pitched in for another birdie.  But that momentum was killed quickly on the back 9 by an endless stream of mediocre approach shots.

I normally loathe the barren hellscape of Chambers Bay, but for once, things actually fell into place for me this week.  1 Eagle, 6 Birdies and no Bogeys for a total of 63.  It's the first time in weeks I've felt completely satisfied with a round in this tournament.

A respectable 66 on a course that in my opinion should be plowed under.

WK25 yet another round plagued by pathetic putting missing way too many putts under 10ft

    for a round of 68

    Week # 25 - Chambers Bay Score:  72 (+1)

A pretty awful round, I'm sad to say.  Not the way to bring it home.  I played too conservatively and that's always a prescription for suckage.  In the end, my one-over round ended up being a better score than I deserved.  If not for an eagle on 12, it would have been really ugly.  Nothing like saving your worst round of the week on a Tour course for the the round that counts!  Oh well.... I'm certainly happy with my overall play the last four weeks and truly grateful for the end result against so many better players (congrats and hat tips to you all!)

Loving the Tour and thanks, Brett, for all you do to run this great event!

    Steve
