61 today at Kiawah.  Problematic front 9 with good tee to green play followed by burning the hole.  Was -3 after 10 and then....they stopped burning and started dropping for 8 straight birds on the run home.

Tee to green was probably my best in a long long while, missed too many fairly short putts.

    1 - birdie

2 - par - hit tee shot through the fairway, bird putt broke out of the hole

    3 - par - 3.5' bird putt lipped out

    4 - birdie

    5 - par  - 6.5'  lipped out

    6 - birdie

    7 - birdie - 8' for eagle - 2" short

    8 - birdie

    9 - birdie

    Out for a 30

    10 - birdie

    11 - birdie

    12 - par - 6' for bird slid by

    13 - birdie

    14 - par - tee shot 15' short, 2 putt par

    15 - birdie

    16 - birdie

    17 - par - missed 7' uphill putt

    18 - par - missed 8' bird

    In with a  61

Must admit I am looking forward to a round at Kiawah about as much as I am looking forward to driving bamboo skewers under my finger nails!

I have never got on with the inconsistent winds, camera angles and questionable breaks on the greens there.

I generally avoid this course like the plague, however its time to pull my bog girl panties on and get out and give it a red hot crack. Stay tuned for the tail of woe!!!

    cheers,

    jeff

    Wk 6.  68

WGT said “Son you’re just not gonna make a putt on the front 9!”

    😭😆

Got it rolling on the backside until the obligatory dead push into the drink on 17.

    🌊

oh well, a fun round anyway!

    Good luck, everyone!

I wish it was only on the front 9.  Lately my game has left the building.  I could of sworn, there were more cameras then what I was seeing.

I even changed the style from classic to standard, thinking that might help, nope it didn't.  Doesn't help, it seems like WGT has made the holes so tight, they squeak, just sitting there.  Bogeys on par 5's are not gonna cut it.

Those sound like something I need here in the rainforest of SE Alaska.  Where do you buy them?

    Kiawah - what a lark!  My gull-y!

As noted by others, the camera angles are often cuckoo at Kiawah, quite loon-y in fact, and I had to crane my neck to get a look at some putts.  Furthermore, the (wood)peckers that programmed the breaks didn’t care whether the graphics of the dots matched or not.

I found almost as many birds as Cas57, and I had a reasonable chance at 2 eagles, but the stork wouldn’t bring in either baby.  Alas, I even 3-putted for par on the first one and had to swallow my pride to even continue.  I definitely heard the mocking bird warbler-ing after that one!  Or maybe that was the mourning. . .dove that I heard.

I told myself, “Just get heron the green before worrying about putting again.”

My tern for an even score finally:  62. I am happy with the birdies but egret the missed eagles.
