I often wonder why my avatar seems so content after shanking a drive into the woods... just standing there, holding his follow-through, admiring the beautiful arc of the shot as it careens off a tree deep into the woods. How does it not bother him when a well-struck downhill six footer pulls up 0.2 feet short? Why does he not shake his head in disbelief when a short-iron into a strong headwind to an elevated green flies farther than he's ever hit that eight iron in his life? That guy is just unflappable, wish I could say the same about the guy running the mouse.

If the avatars had emotions, mine would be crying most of time, if WGT sold tissues in the pro shop, they would probably make more off me than from balls :-)

My avatar stays sedated. He is not allowed to show any emotion that could possibly upset my partner or our competitors. After completing his shot, he instructs me to vent  through telepathy. I then blame it on the meter or other deviations. This makes me look like I never get upset in front of other players. Always makes for a pleasant round.

I think this should be treated as a serious suggestion.

Obviously I don't want my Avatar throwing his club away or punching the ground when his ball rolls slightly into the rough. And equally, I don't want violent fist pumping when he rolls in a 4-footer for birdie (as rare as that is).

Of course, I don't want him raising his hand to an imaginary crowd, either.

All I want is that every once in a while, he just nods his head contently, looks at his club in dismay or gives a little fist pump according to what he's just hit.

I feel it would just add another element of realism and emotion to this game.

    Jack.

I like this idea allot! I think it should also be able to to turn it's head around and give you this look, like "what the heck were you thinking" when one makes a terrible shot, or gives you a wink and a thumbs up when you do nail a shot. Perhaps pulls out a purse and hands it to you when you leave it short.  Do a little something something, so instead of getting mad, your avatar makes you laugh.

    GREAT IDEA OP!

Great idea! How about a virtual hot dog thrown at you too if you make a double bogey. LMAO
