    TarheelsRule:

When I originally signed up I somewhere thought I had read that the intent was to get the tournament played in 7 days so I was charging on.  My experience in some of these is that without time limits it drags out forever, only takes a player or two to make that happen.

It would be nice to have dates by which rounds have to be completed.

I think it was 7 days for the first round. There is a few late finishes i know. There is only about 3 matches left to played for the first rnd I think.

I thought I would have trouble getting our game going, cause I'm on the other side of world, but had no problems yesterday morning.

Tarheels, if you would take the time to read the first page, its ~7days per round as a max. I always write this down like that in my tournaments and normally its not needed at all as my matchplay trophies went VERY fast most of the time.

    Cheers, Hans

I did Hans, when I first read that I read it as 7 days for the tournament, that was where I got the short time line.

I have no issue with the time line, I would just think that in a very short tourney like this, 3 holes per round it would go faster.  However I do realize that if you set it 7 days per round some people are going to wait until the last minute to do it.

    Thanks for the tourney.

That never happened so far and I already did quite a few tournaments. Only issues so far were holidays of certain players and time zone problems. I understand your idea, but due to the fact that even a very short match needs a little free time during different times around the world and that some people might not have realized yet that the tournament started i will at least stick with this time table for the first round.

    Cheers, Hans

No problem, Hans I really like the concept and understand the time issues, esp with various time zones.

The 3 hole concept with a variety of tees, green speed, winds, etc. is really a nice touch.  I think in the end this still allows the better player to prevail but it does do away with the huge advantage that a master (for example) would have over a Legend with both equipped with good equipment and the master playing from 60 to 100 yards closer.  The green speed will never make that up.

Anyway good concept and I'm looking forward to more in the future.

I think this has been an excellent idea. No matter what tier or level, you have no advantage. The only conceivable advantage is the choice of course but you never know which holes you'll get.

Well done Hans for getting this going. I hope to be involved for longer next time lol

It's the first time for me that I've entered into something like this. I think it's fantastic, not that I won, the fun of something new (for me at least) and playing against others is just great. I hope to play a lot more if I get the chance. I too agree with what Pryke said, doesn't matter what Tier your on or if playing against a better player, on the day ya still have to get the ball in the hole to win and if your good enough that will happen.

    Thanks Hans

Alright. Well both myself and golferfrank63 had a rough time on RSG. Both struggled on the greens. But in the end I was good enough to beat him. Thanks for playing golferfrank63. And good luck to you in the future. On to my next opponent.

    Yoda79 - +1

    golferfrank63 - +4
