For some reason WGT has made coin games not count on a players average. you have pros with a 150 avg. level in the mid 70's playing 3 holes 2 under. This just blows my mind.

Ever since their inception ( coin games ) wgt has treated them as practice rounds, therefore not counting towards your avg. or for saturation. Been this way for about 4 years now. A player can move up as high as a legend tier, never having played a ranked round. Levels , of course, are based on xps, which you aquire in coin rooms. Been this way since day 1 for coin rooms, and coin rooms were strictly mobile based, til of late.

    +1!

May I add that the rise ain't limited to Legend - higher tiers with 150 avg have been spotted. It's only less frequent due to the mass of XPs necessary for those high levels.

Also, some users have pointed to me that some skill element may be included in the "mobile" tier promotion mechanic.

So, it's save to see this path through the tiers but the details remain foggy.

I said legend, as I know for sure that it can be attained by playing coin rooms only. I haven't heard of anyone getting a higher tier,. As far as a high avg, when I was promoted to tour champ, a friend also was promoted. We had a bet, so on our first round as a TC, we each shot the 10 stroke max, giving us an avg of 180.00 the bet was who could get back down to a 54 avg first. Therefore our avg was very tainted. Go into a coin room with a 180 avg, people would go nuts. 180 was established due to it being our first round after promotion, as per wgt rules.

A deliberate 180 is a different beast and good fun in your bet!

There's a "150" TL on the first page of US TLs with 6 ranked rounds, and I was told of higher tiers' "150"s in a recent discussion.

Problem is........someone in the coin room, playing against a TC with a super high avg, wouldn't know that it was a horse of a different color. And my point was that when they saw it, would go nuts, lol

Yes. I started as a mobile coin player. Played that way for about 18 months or so. Now just played CC tournaments and ranked rounds (mostly).
