Does anyone know how they seed the Showdowns? Have they changed how they do it?

It use to be that I saw all the same names that advanced in each of the next rounds. However, the last two showdowns, most of the names change from round to round. Yiannis won the 2nd round of the showdown I was in, but he is not in the same final round as I am. Additionally, this final is loaded with top talent from the usual WGT tournaments that I had not seen until this final round. I like having a top notch field. I have always loved playing against (and usually getting my butt kicked) the best. I am just curious if there is rhyme or reason to which final you end up in. ...or is it just a random redraw?

To tell you the truth Brett, i have no idea how this thing works, it's only my third time i played. From what i understand there are many and different brackets let's say....that's why we see different names as we proceed in the tournament.

I am glad you saw this. Nice play!

The first few times I played, it seemed like the top 50 that moved on would all be in the next round with me. It is only the last two showdowns I have seen a big change in names. I was looking forward to having you in the same group as me in the final, a chance at redemption. 😂 Although I have already played my final 18 and you would have kicked my trash again. 🤣

It might depend on the "try agains" like me. Lose the first round and say ho hum but then WGT sucks you right back in with a chance to lose again, same showdown. LOL

There might be something like a second chance bracket, seperate from the first.

Not sure what you're on about regarding the final being loaded with talent, cause even I managed to squeeze in your group ;-) And I only recognize under 10 players. Mostly non bracket folks, I guess. Anyway, a good looking 55 from you, well played!

lol  You are one of the players I was referring too. I normally am lucky to recognize more than a couple names from the regular WGT tournaments. (then of course there are usually some coin room specialists I don't know that are also very good players) "Loaded" may have been a strong word, but I am use to recognizing one or two out of 100, and in this one there are more than a half dozen that I would label with the "top talent" label. Of course I stick that label on all of you who regularly kick me out of 100 and 200 credit brackets, or push me farther down a RG leaderboard. lol

This is confusing me too. I’m playing with my first showdown and I shot -10 in the penultimate and the final rounds. The tie break criteria for positions say that your penultimate round is the decider for position after holes played and score. Yet I’m last of 8 players sitting on -10. They could have all shot better than -10 in R2 but it’s really frustrating that there is no way of telling as they weren’t in my bracket. A bit weird too when -10 was 3rd place for my round 2.
