I have tried 4 times today to play either a 9 hole and a 18 hole event.

Both times I have encounter problems with the screen an or the meter jumping when trying to putt. I believe this issue has been brought up  more than once by other members, as of today it seems WGT has not resolved this problem or they just don't care. I have decided to stop spending money on golf balls and clubs and maybe just stop playing all together until someone at WGT decides that some of these complaints and problems that have been brought up are repaired. It seems that all WGT is interested in is collect your money. Very disappointed in the way that is site / game is being operated and maintained.

This game is in development and as such there are problems that still need to be resolved. WGT asks for our input on problems. Have you reported any of your problems during a match with a description of the issue? They are indeed trying to resolve the problems as they come up.

We are the guinea pigs, so to speak, by reporting real problems to them so they can be addressed. We get to play this terrific game and see the progress they make on a daily basis. Consider yourself lucky to be a part of this and help WGT by documenting problems you encounter and report them properly.

When you are playing and a problem occurs, right-click your mouse and report the problem in as much detail as possible. They will then search the many matches being played and find yours so they can see and resolve the problem.

Maybe someone from WGT or one of the long-time players here can tell you better how to report a problem.

Don't give up! It will get better.

It's becoming apparent that a single thread needs to be created with the steps to ensure optimal performance in this game. I have scattered postings throughout the forum with replied success. They need to be compiled.

I will spend some time in the near future putting a single post together so that all complaints can be directed to this troubleshooting article.

All that has been covered for a long time under the "Optimizing your WGT experience" link found in the FAQ here.  There's little more that can be done on the client side to ensure smooth gameplay.

Merging redundant/repetitive forum threads is a task for a forum moderator, but there are no forum moderators here. There are only anonymous admins in the background, in the roles of "emergency moderators", who delete offensive threads/posts or remind users to behave, but that's just not standard forum moderation.

Don't waste your time on trying to accomplish a moderator's work; you would need the moderator's tools to do that effectively: the software privileges to merge/split/move/rename threads, etc. Because no one does these things in these forums, the result is monumental clutter and redundancy, on this or any other frequent discussion topic related to this golf game.

Hi lardog, if you experience meter jumping during putting, please try turning off your putting grid by going to your Options menu in the game. Please also review the other tips in the link that tibbets posted. Thanks

I never knew about the right click of the mouse to report a problem. I might try that, I'm just very piss on missing short birdie and par putts because of this problem. I had a short par putt ( less than 2 ft) last week and when I went to make the putt the meter never moved the game actually froze. When it decided to unfreeze the meter actually hit the ball less than an inch was not very happy with that outcome. I have also had this problem with approach shots as well but not as often as with putting.

Thanks lardog, that would be very helpful because we receive data that helps us diagnose problems when you submit those bugs.
