Difficulty Of Play

  Over the course of a few days I have played numerous Stroke Play matches on different courses and I have noticed a trend.  The first 3 or 4 holes play relatively straight up nothing out of the ordinary, no shot or putting inconsistency, but as the round continues putts start comping up short, iron shots are long by 10-20 yds, chipping and pitching as well.  Just an overall inconsistency.  I never noticed it playing in the past playing the flash version of WGT and I am wondering if this is something that is part of the new WGT.  

  Has anyone else experienced something like what I described?

  I notice in a practice round if you take a mulligan and hit the same shot again the shot changes.  So something is fishy in Wgtvile. And yes i hit the same shot & use the same club etc etc etc.

  Nothing fishy at all.

  When a player uses Starter gear, as well as starter balls, said player must except that there will be variances

  Even with the best gear it's rare to repeat any shot exactly. Call it whatever you want but the game has randomness built-in and that's a good thing. Otherwise once you memorized the shots on a given hole all you do is repeat them over and over for the same result. How boring. Relax and enjoy the "rub of the green".

  also new without flash.. I have left more putts on edge of cup then in last 4 yrs.. and now when i putt 5-10 past WGT tells me "never up,never in"  not sure about new programmers skills.. just sayin

  Which Putting Grid are you using? Classic or Standard?

  Indeed, Mr. Leadbetter is much more vocal in the new version. LOL

  i do not use starter irons,driver or 3 wood, only started balls hit the same shot twice it should not change using same club. I have people with real good equipment say the same thing. Something fishy with  site.

  Again, nothing fishy at all.

  You CANNOT expect the EXACT same result each and every time ESPECIALLY when using a Starter ball. Even players using the highest priced balls will experience some variance from time to time.

  It is the way the game is designed.

  It is the way the game is designed.

  Exactly.  There is variance built into every shot.  As just one example, the wind indicator shows a range (eg. 15-17mph) rather than an exact number, and if you look closely at the wind arrow, you can see that it often varies its direction ever-so-slightly while you're lining up your shot.

  It's been around forever and I believe the technical term for it is choking... ;-)
