very true...these high paying games need to be tier restricted..not open to everyone.  Too many filthy sandies and multi account cheats for my liking.  It's encouraging the wrong kind of competition.

I think the common concensus is that hitting the legend tier doesn't derive enough differences / benefit than the other tiers. Some will appreciate the additional challenge faced from the back tees whereas others will avoid playing ranked rounds to ensure they have a distance advantage in MP games and other tournaments.

I'm personally in favour of these more expensive, high-risk RG's. The inevitable concern is that it'll create a whole new wave of multi-accounters who know that they can focus purely on these big money RG's. They will level up slowly by only playing 1-2 ranked rounds p/day and will be nearly unbeatable if they are of sufficient skill from the short tees.

I therefore whole-heartedly agree that these should be "legend only" tournaments. Let's incentivise people to actually want to get to the back tees rather than knowing they can win 95% of the tournaments available by hiding behind their actual standard of play. People will quickly get tired of spending $1-2K per nine holes if you get a sudden rash of clear multi's winning these tournaments.

This is not a case of wanting the credit rich to get richer; it's a simple way of stopping you're honest, everyday player who wants to compete fairly from getting screwed over by a flaw in WGT's current tiering system.

One key point however is that I hope WGT have plenty of cash to pay for prizes from the premium elite collection. Regular RG winners (the usual names) will be able to probably gain enough credits in less than a month now to take home a $250 gift card...

Disagree...They should be tier specific. (keep in mind i will probably never play in one as i seem to shyte myself in any RG i enter recently).  There is no reason why only Legends should have the chance to play for big $$$.  I'm sure the Legend / TM / Masters' rgs will fill up rather quickly.  As far as TP / Pro / Ams' i'm thinking they won't.  It's only speculation, but i'm guessing that anyone from the lower tiers who is going to consistently gamble that kind of $$$ didn't acquire their credits by winning the other rgs, but rather MPC (sandbagging perhaps).  I'm also guessing that the top scoring lower tiered players will not want to play against the likes of themselves for fear of losing their (hard earned) credits.

On the other hand, perhaps 2000 cr. is a big enough carrot to wave in front of the noses of said sandbaggers and will get them to play some ranked rounds and move up a tier.

I entered the 500 credit ready go yesterday, and got metered on easy putt at 10th, i ended up withdrawing by the par #5, not worth risking $10 for a round if you get meter like i did yesterday.  Wasn't the usual skip, when i pressed on ding, it would continue SLOWLY until a mm away from right hand side, another mm and it would be a o.k miss swing.  But the joke was, meter perfect for $1 ready go & challenge matches all day.  Wont be wasting my $10

Respect your opinion Billy but bear this point in mind. By creating a TM or Master only high-stake RG, you're actually only going to increase the amount of multi-accounters.

As it currently stands, these are open RG's so it's likely that you'll face off against 10-20 of the top-end players in WGT. Even a multi-accounter will commonly struggle to beat these players. They'll get a return of course but it's unlikely they'll win.

As soon as you have lower-tier, high stakes RG's that element of competition is removed. A multi-accounter will be suddenly be competing against mainly honest players in a specific tier who aren't able to hit sub 30 / 60 rounds. They'll have a field day winning every tournament in sight and this will only encourage more people to follow their lead like a herd of sheep. Somehow I don't think many everyday, honest players will want to pay $10-20 a time to get their a** handed to them by someone who's actually of a much higher standard. As I said originally, it only takes around 15-20 high stakes RG wins to get a $250 giftcard. I think  that'd give plenty of incentive for a multi to appear to try to siphon-off credits from players within a certain tier.

Maybe WGT should create a multi-accounter tier instead; anyone who wants to hit from shorter tees than their actual standard just goes off to this tier where they compete with other like-minded people. Of course, these second accounts aren't allowed to be used in any standard tier or open tournaments. Maybe this would remove some of the stigma of multi's in the game as they seem to be increasing by the day.

I just saw this and would love to play some legends only ready goes at 1 and 2k.  When the stakes are higher, my A game comes out.  I kinda wish we had higher stakes, and higher MP limits.     All these $1 ready goes and $2 MP's bore the sh%^ out of me and I could care less how I play.  I think I average 3 seconds on each shot.  One RG for 2k and 1k and you guys are already on the forums upset, hell there are still several unaltered ready goes.  They just added one 1k and one 2k.

I would like to say TY WGT for getting it half right :)

    with respect, TT

hit the nail on the head there jim - ive seem freakin amateurs win 18 hole ready goes - quite recently too i might add, so theyd be a huge influx of ppl who know how to work the system to that advantage - just check out the scores for tor pros and below for the credit tourneys and u can see.

anyways thats one point of making them legend only - the other point is to, if i may say so, reward a person for reaching legend status so they can then compete for better prizes than other tiers - basically as i see it right now there is no incentive to get to legend status, just level 92 to get equipment.

i for one would appreciate something like this happen to actually make it worthwhile getting there. ive played many AS games where i see many super skilled masters and below play - and a lot dont play many ranked rounds just to stay where they are.

i dont mean to offend those players - some just like playing those games and dont rape the credit tourneys. but i know a lot do and opening these high credit tourneys to all tiers is a dream come true for them.

    anyways hit them straight.

how about leaving the high stakes RGs open to all, but everyone plays the same tees.  if they want to play with the big boys, make them do it on the same terms as the rest of us.  if people don't like it, they can chose not to play those RGs.  why should someone with the exact same clubs as me expect to get a built in advantage.  it's motivation to simply get better, which will benefit them in the long run.

I did enter $10 ready go because i was annoyed after "deviation" effected round for 500 but only 10 have entered since 6 hours.LOL!!!

Before 50 people have entered the 1000 credit ready go, you will be able to play 10 $1 ready go's i'm sure!!
