So in this specific situation that pick doesn't count because they weren't able to get the pick in before the player teed off. If the player has hit one shot, that pick is voided no matter what. I do think it is something we will be looking at going forward as we are having more questions on this matter. I really think there are two answers here and one is we allow people to select a player and the deadline is when they tee off or whenever that first group goes. The one thing with the latter option is I do know how many people get their pick a few groups into the tournament where nothing has been determined and it was clear they were just a little late. Of course, if there are enough people who would rather make it a hard deadline for each week, just know that actually makes my job easier and would be happy to consider it for future doings of this. I will also be updating the sheet momentarily and have the post for this coming week up shortly.

I personally am in favor of however you want to run this, Judge. I 100% trust that you will keep it fair no matter which route we go.
I know how difficult it is to get a lot of players to participate in this fun game. Adding to the difficulty is the short turn around between tournaments. The upside of allowing picks until that player tees off is that it ends up with slightly more participation occasionally. I like having as much participation as possible. The only downside to that is there will be some who mistakenly think there is an advantage to picking late. Although their concerns are pointless (there is no advantage, but quite the opposite), it may cause some to not want to play. Once again, that narrows our participation, and the more that play, the more fun this game is.
Thanks for providing us with this game!
