    Hi Guys and Girls

I've been playing for more than 2 years and have a strong feeling your holding me and others back because I guess we don't spend enough money on the site. The meter has been getting worse with every round and really getting frustrated about the money have already spent on the site. I just want to have control over my meter without it jumping past when I click or lags or stops in the process of the click on mark. The meter, wind and distance seams uncontrollable at most times. Sure we all make good shots at times. We even make our own mistakes but most of the time I feel we are not in control and something on the inside is working against us all. FIX THE CLUTCHES with the money we spend and we will spend more.

I know exactly when my meter jumps or hesitates and the problem is not on the WGT end.  Generally this happen when other programs are running at the same time or when someone, sharing my network, is streaming video.  I've also notices problems when the weather is warm which seems to slow everything down.  I'm not saying this is causing your problems, but this is definitely a pattern with me.

Also, be sure you take the necessary steps to insure unauthorized users are not using your system, and be sure to check the System Requirements over there------>

I used to have very bad problems with the meter. My brother is an I.T. guy and he made some changes to my computer that helped a lot. I wish I could tell you what exactly he did, but I'm not an I.T. guy. All I can tell you is that some of my non game graphics were affected.

I still get the occasional meter difficulty, but I can usually tell when I slide the slider to the left, if it is jerky and not smooth, then I let the button go and it usually jerks its way to the line. I just let it go. I'm not saying that the meter still doesn't get me anymore, it does and always will.

There are some posts here in the Forum that explain why. Basically, the meter is affected by: computer speed, internet connection, ball type, club type, spin setting and server traffic. (there are more I’m sure) Not a whole lot that can be done with the meter in this configuration on a Flash platform.

I suggest looking thru some of the recent posts regarding meter and game performance. Try what is suggested, and if you have access to an I.T. guy, buy him a beer and have him check it out.

I also don’t recommend playing this game on a lap top. I had the opportunity to last week, and even with an external mouse, the play was not good.

Good luck and notice how the meter reacts, it will sometimes give itself away. When it doesn't, just think that a car honked it's horn in the middle of your shot. hahaha.

I've been playing this game since June 2010 with an old laptop I bought off ebay for $50. It's got windows 2000 pro installed and has a whopping 500meg of ram and is a crappy 1.6ghz  but I cleaned everything else off it and only use it to play WGT.

I've never had one meter problem.

Carlsberg don't make computers but if they did...they'd probably make the best computers in the world ROFL.

    Deja Vu Tess?

YES, YES , AND TO THOSE WHO SEEM TO HAVE A PERFECT WORLD, lucky SOB's.

How is it that the putting meter is so fuc&*(up?

It goes from "your grandma's driving" to "jumpin to light speed" when and almost all of the time within anywhere from a 3/8" to an `1/16" inch prior to the line--------------------BOLT AT HYPER WARP 80,

oh, were you trying to putt?

Sorry all, must just be me.

Renn#$**; give me my bong back!

Damn man you brought me into the discussion. Just bought a new sleeve of cally z's, playing with MB on hole nbr 17 at kia. wind was 9 to 2 at 17, played to adjust for wind, dinged all 3 shots and 3 new callys in the drink. Total bull ***.

I'm the newby here, this will make a month I have been playing, and my meter was doing fine until last week. I am not sure what causes it but I am pretty sure it isn't my computer.  It was fine until I changed tiers, then whammo, it starts skipping and stuttering, very inconsistent.  My computer has over 3 gig RAM and is like 2.8 Ghrz or something like that, fastest DSL  my provider has , an IT guy told me it had to be either in the server or the game, he assured me it wasn't the computer, could be operator error, but my eyes don't stutter just the meter!!!!

Mine was fine until I changed tiers then it was like the game went downhill as far as playability

I used to run into meter problems - the jumping, as if you were looking stroboscopically. Then one of my CC members mentioned that the problem cleared up almost totally when he right-clicked his mouse (bringing up a computer menu) and he UN-checked the loop setting.

I did the same and I haven't had the problem since then. Coincidence? I don't think so.

Furthermore, I noticed that this loop setting re-establishes itself almost every game I play, so I often right click and remove it, maybe a dozen times in a four hour session. It only takes 5 seconds to complete, once you know where to look (about midway), and it becomes second nature.

Also, if you have been streaming video recently, it would behoove you to close your browser and re-start it before going to WGT. My anti-virus program often messages me to this effect because of all the flash media that parks files while you're at their sites.

Generally 8 gig RAM systems won't have this problem but my laptop doesn't handle more than 2 Gigs.

One last thing, despite stroboscopic effects, if you continue to play as if the meter was steady, often you can still stripe your shots closely enough to finish a round. Of course, on less than 100% shots, it is certainly much more difficult.
