How is it possible to play the WGT Fall Classic at Kiawah Island and shoot -1 for 18 as a Pro then the next day shoot +19 as a Tour Pro?????

Do the settings, conditions, ability to control shots and putting change that drastically when you increase levels and/or classifications?

Other than playing poorly, any thoughts? Any comment would be appriciated.

Where did the extra strokes come from......putting?  I think the green speed changes between those tiers from fast to very fast can't remember. Or is it standard to fast...

Let us know what seemed harder to do, maybe we can help more.

Im reasonably certain the conditions are the same for everyone, which is tournament greens, and as a pro to tour pro you just came off of fast greens.  My best guess is in your fist round your starter irons (which are very inconsistent) just happened to be putting you in better spots on the greens, making the putts more manageable.  The next round, if you kept getting bad spots on the green, I can understand why the tournament speed greens would cause so much trouble, and possibly destroy your score.

Granted Im only guessing, but if OP gives us a little more info, we may be able to zone in on what happened, but as far as conditions, like I said, I think everyone is in the same boat.

You got it right hpurey, pro= fast greens

tour pro = very fast greens

still, quite the difference in shots though

edit:  Forgot it was the Fall tourney, as stated above I believe the conditions are the same for all tiers

Just choked up as a bad day, the tourney you are talking about is the same for all. Tourney Greens, same wind etc. No worries!

No worries? Bad day or not he only has to make up 33 shots to qualify. Ouch.

Overall, it was a combination of everything. The greens were rated Tourney. General shot making was the primary culprit. Seemed like every shot was very eratic.

I've been playing with the Starter Plus Iron set, Steel L5+, Starter Plus 10.5 Driver L2+ and the Tiger balls. I am from Northwest Ohio and a Tigers fan.

Both Tourneys were tourney rated greens with approximately the same wind conditions. I thought I was striking the ball rather well but the ball sure did not react the same. Went from a 71.3 to 76 in one round. Thanks for the feedback. Just like the real thing though, practice, practice, practice.
