    St Andrews 500 credit RG

#10    20 headwind  (tailwind the green is drive able in 1)

#11     19 tailwind  (Short Par 3 I'm not stopping that ball to close)

#12     24 headwind - coming in about 5 o clock (I'm not even clearing the two fairway bunkers) again drive able in 1 with a bit of luck and tailwind, should be birdie though

#13     21 tailwind (I'm not stopping this anywhere close to the flag)

#14    23 headwind (I'm not making the second fairway in 2)

    #15     18 crosswind

    #16    22 headwind

I know whats coming on 17 before I get there

    True enough

    #17  23 crosswind right - left

    #18   19 headwind

I shot 32, I know I could have done better - but if I get the reverse winds and I can drive the greens on 10, 12, 18 (or get within a flop shot),  tailwind on 14 should give me eagle chance so I'm at least -4 or better  without too much work

Sorry - I withdrew from the last 500 cos I had pretty much the same winds,

How many do I have to play before I get the 'good wind'

    Rant over

I got same scenario yesterday, i withdrew by the par #5. No point posting a mediocre score as only the best play these.  I entered $10 ready go in anger, was -2 at the par 3, 13th i got out of the blue meter skip to put me in worse position possible.  Bogey.  I birdie next hole to get back on track, only for meter to pause on a 4 foot birdie putt on 15. Made me withdraw again (can only break even in this tournament with a -5), so $15 screwed in less than half hour.lol.

But lately i've noticed i score well on one day, next day i get bad deviation/conditions and either post *** scores or have to withdraw.  Day after its back to normal and i can post good scores again. It comes in daily cycles.  But i don't play no different. So basically if you play the same constantly, the game will be decided by deviation because some days i land within 2 yards often, then next day my precision circle seems to increase and cant get close. Same goes with putting, on the god day, putts seem to drop what ever the break, but on bad days, you take same line, but ball will be inches away instead of dropping.

I thought it was just me - I can usually play well St Andrews front or back in moderate winds, but I've been constantly outside of 5yds on my approaches in this 500 and sometimes closer to 10.  I play the same, ding about the same, I don't get the same result

Just entered another 500 ready go. On par #3 my meter skipped past ding AGAIN.  made me bogey. i carried on, untill i get 21 mph headwind on 17th, my wood on approach went 210 yards, leaves me with 50 foot putt. I hit put with 40 foot of power, it goes 36 FEET.  This is such a rip off. ANOTHER $5 WGT SCREWED FROM ME for a sub standard round!

NO f'king more $$ from me.  Unless i get deviation withdrawn from my round and shots are down to me, not inconsistancy's then last $5 your getting from me. I've enetered $5 ready go 5 times. FOUR OF THOSE HAVE BEEN WITH DRAWLS.  strange when $1 back 9's seem o.k
