  Shockingly after latest update ALL my friends on my list that are online STILL show as 

  

  I'm SURE their all sitting there just waiting to play a game!!!

  We all know that the clubs we use accelerate as the meter progresses towards the ding, that rate of acceleration has to be calculated and that value isn't known to us, it's not listed in the pro shop. Different clubs accelerate at different rates.

  Many people have posted about how clubs and balls with the same attributes, feel different. And it's those attributes that are not known to us that make these slight differences.

  What I was meaning earlier, what Simon and others have said, suggests that replacing the Maverick pro with the apex pro irons, for example, is a waste of money.

  People saying clubs and balls with the same attributes feel different is one thing, like people saying they experience VEM, but you're saying you've seen evidence. 

  I've no doubt what you say about there being differences is true and there are differences between sets of irons (for example).  What was being talked about here is WGT's new clubs being direct replacements for ones that are taken away, this has been happening for over two years, do you know any case where any of the attributes (shown or hidden) are different between the old and replacement clubs?

  Sorry that sounded stroppy and I didn't mean to be.  It's just we're talking about folk potentially spending £48 on a set of clubs they already have :-/

  In order for me to look at these hidden attributes DP (which I can no longer do in the new app) I would have to own and have those clubs equipped. So I can't say whether clubs that have been replaced in the pro shop by something that appears to be the same, are actually identical in every way, apart from a name and an image.

  I have been rummaging through some code files that I had copied from my browser when the game was flash based, and looking at an xml file of the ball I had equipped at the time, I can see the attributes that I have been talking about. I'm not going to give out any attribute values but, just to prove that they're not a figment of my imagination, the attribute names are... (⇩ hover to reveal ⇩)

  That there would be a difference between the acceleration of a 3wd and a wedge is not a surprise, nor is it that there's a difference between a 200c 3wd and a 4,000c 3wd.

  All I'm saying is there is nothing to indicate, other than the usual VEM type speculation, that clubs with the same visible stats act differently.

  I will leave it there as folk can obviously do what they want with their money but I certainly wouldn't, or encourage others to, buy clubs with the same stats as the ones I already have.

  Find this very much like purchasing software. Two years ago an end user purchases the Office Package for $398. Today Microsoft introduces a “new” version. The new software still provides the same functionalities with maybe a new feature of two and some eye candy updates. But you still have to decide whether the new version offers enough substantive differences to warrant the purchase. Meanwhile in the back of your mind there is that nagging question - now that a new version is available how much longer will my older version be supported and will the level of support be the same?
