Maybe this is a dumb question but can we sell back old equipment we don't want/use anymore?

yes, you can sell equipment you bought. go to my profile, click on equipment tab, then sell my equipment, and select clubs you want to sell (make sure you are not using them or it will not sell) and then sell.
