i agree to a point but id love to see top 20 masters scores posted for there first 20 games on st andrews stroke play when it is released.i think the results will open ppls eyes up,as this will seperate tallent or sandbager.

i would suggest more than top20 but think the results will speak for themselves

There a many reasons why the top 20 players score so low but mine 2 points are:

    1. playing the same stroke play courses over and over again will surely lower your scores. you have only played 18 ranked rounds (1.3% of the top player's ranked rounds)
    2. some people are just really good at games. go on any mini games website and play some games.. play each game 18 times, post your best score and i bet you are shocked at the position your score ends up. because there are people out there who dont sleep and are like robots.

listen i've been here a while it seems but so short compared to the top guys. look at the "distance to pin" stats on the players. if the top players can land an approach shot within 12ft of the pin, then St Andrews will not be a problem because i checked out the greens on St Andrews CTTH and they seem pretty flat....

i have played with some of the best players on here and the scores are as real as real can be. they know what club to choose, what side of the pin to land for better putting, whether or not to pitch, chip or punch. and most of all they can putt.

just concentrate on your getting your lowest score and one day you may hit a round of 54

I must say I have been playing less and less on here.  Probably three to five rounds a week.  I formerly played up to seven or eight rounds a day.  Putting is essentially the biggest part while hitting the mark is a close second.  I have probably given up two to three shots from not playing.

I know others who play have played more rounds since the beginning of june then I have since I have been here over 2 years now.  Scary to say they are better.  This game is practice makes perfect.

All I got to say is I have birdied every hole on both courses just not in the same round. Now all I got to do is put those birdies on the same score card and wa la I will of shot a 52 or 54. Now that is a score that I have not seen posted before but I know in my heart that it is possible.

Playing of the same two courses has to have an impact on your score.Someone said if Tiger and Phil played the same two courses everyday for two years they might shoot ,lets see the lowest score that I have seen posted is a 56,now if this were to happen when the gentleman that lines up that last putt would be the shot heard around the world.I hope he makes it.But back to reality, the scores are possible here at WGT but not in the real world which is what everybody playing this game is looking for a score lower than a real life score. My real life average is in the 80's but on here I am a superstar in my own mind with an average of around 64.I played a round with a guy on here who's average was or is 57 and at the end of the round he was only -2 thru 9.Maybe they were taking it easy on me ,I don't know but I do know that the score is possible from my ability to make a bird on every hole of the two courses just not in the same round but one day I will be able to put together that type of round but until then I'll have to settle with that so so average of 64 which no one on the PGA has so in this game I am the man.lol

The things I miss mostly, in this very fine game, is the conditions we meet on the greens when playing in real life. An early, chilly morning, greens can be wet and slow. One or two ours later the bright sunshine has made the greens fast. Maybe the greenkeeper has changed the cutting on his machine from yesterday. Rain and high wind has great influence on your putting. All these things makes it impossible to shoot 57-57 as we can see here. English is not my native language, so please excuse me. Bravelight.

The greenskeeper WGT has cuts them the same everyday, he does not change anything. Now that you know that, it won't be long until you post that sub 60 round!

no need for the rather unnecessary comment there chippy. i was only sharing my opinion on my experience so far on WGT in response to your post.

    sorry if i upset you

could someone please inform me as to why someone who is master tier and unable move down tiers would be a sandbagger? it just doesn't make sense to me why some of the top players are being accused of sandbagging when there is no reason to under perform.

    this is taken from about.com/golf

Question: What is the Origin of the Term "Sandbagger"?
Answer: sandbagger is a nasty species of golf vermin who lies about his true playing abilities - making himself seem worse than he is - in order to gain advantage in tournaments or bets.
how would that work on here on master tier. someone please shed some light
