Beside the durability, what can we say about Callaway Tour i(z) balls vs Legend Callaway Tour i(z) balls?

I used the Zs as a TM and use the Legend Zs now. They're the same price as the regular Zs. You gain 1/2 ball on distance and 1/2 ball on spin. But lose 1/2 ball on durability. I doubt I would even notice the gain in durability with as many of these things I go through.

If you used the Z balls as a TM I can't see why you wouldn't use the Legends Zs once you made that tier. I'll use any help I can get from the black tees.

From playing numerous rounds with a TM....the legend balls seem to give you about 5 extra yards on a drive, when compared to the regular Z's.

And as Dar says, you need all the help you can get when you're teeing off from the back parking lot.....

I did a test with both balls (distance only) off the tee in low winds. After each drive i recorded  the wind direction and distance and only counted the shots that dinged or almost dinged. I also aimed at the same place on the fairway. After 150 drives on 3 different course's (75 of each) the results showed there was no real difference ...if anything the normal z balls went a touch longer.

After the test i went back to the normal Z's, not only cos of my findings, but i feel  there's no need for any extra spin....if  you really do get extra spin..lol

Legend Callaways did not impress me enough to stay with them. I go through  them fast enough that whatever extra durability I get out of the regular ones make it worthwhile.

my math might be wrong but  the Z balls are actually 60 cents a sleeve cheaper, when considering the durability factor...or you get four legend sleeves for the same price as five Z sleeves. ...food for thought for those playing on a budget.
