During a game (Paris, 3 hole stroke play) I went into the settings screen to change the game volume. I applied the settings and then went to "save & close". This left a permanent overlay that I wasn't able to figure out how to dismiss. Some of the keyboard shortcuts still worked, but none could remove the overlay.

I am playing on Windows 10 laptop via Steam.

Maybe there is a problem with your laptop. I just played a CCTH round via Steam and changed settings several times and there was no permanent overlay, But I didn't play a coin game in Paris. There might be a problem there. One thing to try is to play directly from the launcher on your computer and see if that helps.
