Tournament Conditions

  Icon you've used the term in the past 'all round experience' mainly regarding playing different courses and conditions.

  Can I then ask - as a legend where is my 'all round experience'?

  When do you set moderate wind/slow green, low wind/very fast green, (I could go on but I'm sure you get the drift)

  Legends play from the back tees, and by my reckoning in tournaments about 80% in high winds, and 95-100% tournament or championship greens

  Green speeds take different skills - why don't all tiers get to play all speeds?

  Apart from the fact you have 'Legend' on the profile page I'm wondering why anyone aspires to this any more, you've given the best equipment to any tier at given levels, lower tiers don't have so many high winds - you have a problem with multi-accounters, maybe this policy of penalising promotion has a lot to do with that

  If we have slower greens, half shoot super low and half complain about a differing speed.

  If we have lower winds, all shoot super low and there's more complaints about scoring.

  I think by all round experience, he partly means different courses that hold different challenges and you can set up differing winds/greens/tees/pins in a practice round.

  You're probably right, its just me, I have a problem with a site I pay telling me that just because I decide to play ranked tournaments I will move eventually into a tier that makes it tougher than anywhere else to play.

  If I'd decided to play practice rounds, or non ranked I could legally stay at a lower tier with a really good average playing different courses and different conditions.

  Most other games people play they aspire to the better levels because they get the better equipment, here its given out with the cereal - well irrespective of tier anyway, you get to a level you get the best equipment and that is just wrong

  Yes, I always believe in challenging conditions but also all around experience. Of course, those terms are pretty broad.

  Also, we have just rolled out higher stakes rg's and we have plans for other things, such as mixing up tees and using different winds/green speeds.

  Both 18 high stakes were my conditions and my ideas, so if you don't like them, blame me :)

  With that said, we maybe be able to rotate them on more frequent basis, hence why we are always asking for feedback.

  The isuse is, some of them feedback we have gotten, is not what you call feedback but a rant. I have played cabo 100's of times and yes, some greens are tricky, yes, some angles drive me nuts, but it's all the same for everyone, so I call that fair.

  Also, some holes, like 11 or 18 or others, when people saying it's not a birdie hole or tough to make one, well, ya....it's not a birdie hole but also if you go for it and hit say anywhere other than below #18 you will bogey it. So, be smart, hit 20 ft below, and take out a bogey chance.

  How about bridging the gap for the credit challenged, and install some 250 credit RG's?

  Sensible option, this is what i always try and do, i even managed a birdie on championship greens on 18, so made me happy.lol

  i'd like a way to know the conditions of the high stakes ready-gos before I enter.  I have zero interest in ever playing less than tournament speed greens, and I'm sure others have similar things they would want to avoid.

  Thank you for the sensible reply, I'm sorry if I sometimes rant, I'm not such a bad guy when you get to know me :)

  I like the 18 RG's for the big bucks, but not Cabo - my choice, I know

  I do think I'd like to be able to play all greens and winds as a legend in ranked tournaments, not just 'challenging' because thats what you like or think we should play

  I don't play alt or matches, again personal choice, but I still don't agree with giving out the top equipment to any tier just because they hit a level.  Effectively that policy does penalise the top players (legends), but I'm sure you know all the arguements on that subject.

  If I get 'ranting' again, feel free to tell me and I will bring myself back to earth and try posting less emotionally

  thats fine, this game is supposed to be fun, so if you like to play something specific, who says you shouldn't?

  and cabo will not always be $20 for 18, we will switch it up:)
