You know, it is one thing to try to play your best and make errors that give you a lower score.I can deal with that. That is the game. You are going to make errors.

It is another thing that WGT's program will either stop the meter for a split second or will accelerate the meter drastically while making a shot. This is a crappy way to get a lower score. This takes the fun out of the game.....PERIOD!

This seems to happen quite frequently lately. So, after about four holes of this herky jerky meter crap, I quit. It is too frustrating to deal with.

I can't compete with a computer program that is going nuts for a split second during each hole for a whole round. I can handle it for one or two holes....but every hole.....come on..... this is getting ridiculous lately.

Also, don't try to get credits from the free Auto Insurance Quotes or the Survey sites. I am already owed over a 2000 credits from these two type of sites and I have yet to get them even though they are supposed to give you credits immediately.

I brought this to the attention of WGT and I got no response or no retort from WGT came ... but ... somehow I got 125 credits after I complained about not getting the 850 credits from the Auto Insurance Quote site.

It seems that all these two types of sites want is your email address so they can start sending you crap via emails. Stay away from them is my opinion & my advice.

Get the meter issue fixed WGT. I have read about others complaining about this also. Add me to the list of complainers.

Have you looked into any fixes from your end?

Post your PC specs and operating system and there are lots here that will try and help you out.

This game is not like one you buy in a box. It is being updated all the time. This means that you have to clear your browser and flash caches regularly.

As for the surveys...... I know that some people have good luck with them and others, not so much. They are a third party thing so there is a limit as to what WGT can do.

    Happy hitting

There's a contact for Trial Pay.  If credit anomalies take place, send them an email.  With some patience I've found they'll sort it out to your satisfaction.

As for the meter, well, there's two rubs:

    1.  It is a server based flash game so there are and will be limitations.  Sometimes it'll do the odd thing.  Do as suggested, clear cache, stop unnecessary processes or things that periodically check for updates etc.  If all esle fails, let the jerky meter go - as in practice swing.  I've found holding the backswing for a pause sometimes helps a lot too.

    2.  Within the program I suspect the meter is designed to not always be "perfect".  An unfortunate requirement I'd imagine made necessary by "auto dinging" type cheats.

    That's all I got.

I want to thank everyone for their replies.

I will try those suggestions that everyone gave me.

I do have to say that I was a bit miffed by the Surveys to get credits. They were supposed to apply immediately but they never happened. I even went back to redo one of the surveys and they said I had already completed this survey......So....they knew already that I had completed the information that they wanted.

I can only think that these surveys are just trying to get free information that they can sell. Maybe the auto quotes are doing the same. That is just my opinion.

As for the Auto Quotes USA, I will send them an email asking about the credit issue. I re-applied to this credit source twice. I did it a second time to see if I missed filling out some fields. I came to the conclusion that I had done what was asked of me to get the credits the first time. I didn't get any quotes from any insurance company by the way.

I will try the suggestions about the jerky movement of the meter.

I think that I will stay away from the faster meter speeds from clubs that I acquire from this point on. I have assembled my wish list for clubs that have the lower meter speeds. I think the enjoyment will come from not having to deal with meter speeds that are way too fast just to get a few more yards of ball distance on a club hit.

Thanks again everyone for your suggestions.

I really enjoy this game. I hope to play a lot of the great folks here once I get the clubs that I know I need to progress my game to a new level.

Hit the Flag Stick & crush some drives!
