Crashes when attempting to edit apparel, soon as I click tab it locks then crashes. Re-opens and plays fine but can not access apparel tab.

Ya...anyway, don't care about the apparel but its doing it with avatar tab as well- If it locks the equipment tab the same way It will keep me from changing balls/clubs.

Windows 10, I uninstalled the app and reinstalled but problem remains. Clicking edit avatar or apparel freezes the app, then the box that says golf.exe has crashed.

sounds like a system file issue.

right click your start bar, click command (run as admin)

in the command prompt type: sfc/scannow

lets it do it job then restart the computer.

after it’s booted back up right click start bar again and start command as admin.

    type: DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

lets it do it’s thing and that should fix your issue.

windows 10 is rife with system file corruption issues

Thanks Scott, I did that this morning- Still the same.

When I uninstalled and reinstalled yesterday I had deleted the WGT folder from registry as well.

I would consider doing a clean Windows install and try it again, The time to do it and a gut feeling of it not being a user end problem is holding me back...lol

Kinda shocked that no one else has had this issue, Reports as program hanging in event viewer.

I did contact WGT as well...

Thanks for the idea but still the same...maybe I will try fresh install tomorrow of windows and wgt

Side note- only thing I use windows for is WGT app and run discord app other than that I never use windows at all- I run Linux on a separate drive.

Well, Moderation makes it tough to respond timely but- I did do a clean install of windows and WGT...Issue is still there, I will try to test with another PC. I think this is a server side hiccup though.

Couple more ideas in addition to what mnb1985 suggested:

    - Try running the game on Steam

    - Try going back to a previous restore point on Windows

A complete Windows reinstall is rather extreme, unless you're having other problems with other apps.
