Based on this it appears that your 2,000 is subject to WGT’s taking a cut of the action:

If your club has a pay-to-enter tournament or a tournament with a credit purse, WGT will pay out 80% of the total purse to the winners of each tournament.

If I set a tournament in my club with a credit purse , I am sure the whole amount is paid out , without a cut taken by WGT.

I believe the 20% cut for WGT is for tournament that have a entry fee only.

    But I'm not 100% on that. :)

I think Dave is correct, I have put many tournaments up with prizes and there has been no reduction in the prizes paid out,

If you add your own credits to the purse when setting up a CC tournament, those credits will be paid out 100%.

If your tournament has an entry fee, 80% of those entry fees will be paid out.

So, for example, if you have a tournament where you put in 1000 credits and the entry fee is 10 credits and 5 people enter (50 credits in entry fees), a total of 1040 credits will be paid out.
