i like many others play rgs and once upon a time really enjoyed them. But now the fun has been taken out of them. To even stand a chance of being at the top of the leaderboard you now have to shoot around of 26,27 to win back credits and a few more. Dont get me wrong i take my hat off to those who can shoot such scores. i played a 9 hole round yesterday and finished up -5 and won back a massive 50credits,so really has detered me from even bothering. Now of to get a tissue

                                       happy hitting

It really is getting competitive, you have to shoot 30 or below to make some credits.

I've noticed that too. I'm not enjoying much meself. The $20 R/Go you need at least 32 to get half ya money back, let alone a profit..hmmmm... lol

It's funny actually... apart from Social Club, R/Go's are the only thng I play most of the time. I decided to have a go at the NKF.. freebie on Kiawah...Hitting from the Whites and I really enjoyed that and got a bit of motivation again....lol. With the R11 off the whites and then chipping on the green,...lol...what a spin out.

Sorry for changing the subject.... Bump

    Cheers

I think a 30 breaks even or makes a few credits in most all the readygos.  So far today, Ive spent about 50.00 in  readygo entry fees and should win 40.00 in return after posting 32 in oak 1000 , 31 in sta 500 and a 30 in ccc 2000

LOL  so at this rate,  if I want to make a run at earnings leaderboard, for every 80.00  in earnings, will cost  me about 100.00. With that negative equity return,  I either need to improve my scoring, or just need to figure out where to hide credit card statements from wife and its all good lol

That 30 at CCC should get you some good credits back. I don't have that problem with the Statements anymore....lol

    The solution is simple.

Don't play the 9's - any of them! Just play the 18's - you make more for a good score - less bunching up and cutting into your winnings. Plus they really are more fun (this is fact - LOL)

Lets get some occupy wgt action! If enough people 'boycott' the 9 holers, and just play the 18's, they'll just have to add more 18's. You won't have to sleep in some stinky tent in the cold either - or quit your job - or share a tent with a guy with a bullhorn that didn't have a job anyways! It's a win win!  (Well at least a win some lose some!)

I'm thinking if WGT were to drop their cut from 20% to 10% then it would increase the players prize pot and so forth.

As it stands WGT earn more than the 1st place winners in RG's LOL.

That's a good theory Birdwell... but I have more success in the nines than the 18 holers....lol (except for that extreme R/Go at CCC...lol). I have a problem with putting together two 9holes at once.. (but working on it :) Also the 9 holers are short and sweet and I think (if I have a good day) can win more with the 9 hole R/Gos than a couple of 18 holers.

    Cheers

My first day being a baller and playing high stakes ready gos ended with a thud. Got 2 that havent closed yet, but of ones that have......

    500 entry sta won 3.61 with a 12th place 31score  http://www.wgt.com/tournaments/leaderboard.aspx?id=8a44a450-9259-4835-886b-9f8d008fb135

    1000 entry oakmont won 3.80 with 24th place 32 score http://www.wgt.com/tournaments/leaderboard.aspx?id=43453f70-dd7b-4ece-8729-9f8c01104515

2000 entry CCC won 15.00 with an 11th place 30 score http://www.wgt.com/tournaments/leaderboard.aspx?id=f43e7964-e913-4228-a70a-9f8d001178ca   if I'd made just 1 more putt wouldve gotten 41.43 lol

I did win on my favorite course the legend bethpage rdy go with 27 for 600 credits which helped but for the high roller rdys

    spent 35.00 and won 22.41

Time to take out my credit card, reload account with enough $$ to enter all the big ones  today and give it another go.  make 1 more putt on ccc and I'd made a 16.84 profit lol

Wgt is cheap entertainment. Even with winning tourneys/rdygos $  I've spent about 100.00 real dollars so far since started playing in feb.  Thats about same cost as 2 rounds of real golf and I've gotten hundreds of hours of entertainment here on wgt

It's brutal out there. I had some luck playing in TP tier only right before I turned Master, but I won't go near them again for a while, if ever. Then, WGT adds all your credits "won" into career "earnings" even when you lose money: pay 100 to enter, "win" 50 -- ie, LOSE 50 -- and your earnings go UP ... a dastardly little sleight of hand to make you think you've gotten  more than you have. I bet a majority of career "earnings" are really in the negative
