The WORM BLOOD MOON
Tonight, we celebrate the full moon with a total eclipse and the moon turning "blood" red.
So let us go back to the beginning. I mean the early beginning of the moon when it was created. We have to go back over four billion years when Earth was a Protoplanet revolving about a young Sun. At that time, a planet about the size of Mars, named Theia, collided with the Earth at about a 45 degree angle, destroying itself, and combining its heavier material with the Earth's, and throwing out into space a great deal of material that shortly thereafter formed the moon.
Because of this collision, the Earth's 23.5 degree tilt was created. This tilt is the reason we have seasons.
Because of this collision, we have the moon. The moon causes tides more than twice the tides created by the Sun.
Because of this collision, we have the moon. The moon-forming impact was the key in building a planet that could form life.
Is there sentient life elsewhere in the Milky Way? Maybe there is, but did they have the misfortune to be impacted by a giant protoplanet in their own early protoplanet history?

Yes, this is not WGT related, but there is a full moon tonight!
Happy Worm Blood Moon day.
