Is there a capital in dodgy

It depends on whether it is being used as a noun or a title.(learned that from IAMNICKLAUS).

In the context above, yes, it should have been, and I actually corrected it before your reply appeared. Although, knowing Dodgy, I guess either way would have sufficed.

You can always use the square brackets when quoting from an external source. Y'know, the ones that come from quoting the posts of other members on here. Then just type in the source where the username would usually be.

If it's a name then there's one at the beginning, if it's me there's usually tea in me.

But dodgy or Dodgy is a nickname so it is not a real name . So should capital be used in a nickname . According to wikipedia - People – A person's first, middle, and last name are considered proper nouns (or proper names) and should be capitalized. Nicknames and pet names are also proper nouns and should be capitalized.

    How do you know? :-)

Anyway the conclusion was a real name should be capitalised and so should a nickname :-/ Presumably a user name should too, if that's the way it's originally written.

"Wikipedia avoids unnecessary capitalization. In English, capitalization is primarily needed for proper names" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Capital_letters

So, if dodgy is not a proper name, a capital is not needed. It is not a proper name, and certainly not a real name, like....who would name their kid Dodgy? (I tried to find one but couldn't). Therefore neither proper or real.

Now, lets presume it is being used in the descriptive sense, as in he has a dodgy putter, which, in this instance, may be the case, a capital is not used.

Further, lets presume that there are more than one, in fact hundreds of thousands or more, may be millions, they are so common, the word dodgy becomes synonymous with a specific breed, or sub-species, of human, like a pinto is as to the equine species. In such instance, and once again, a capital "D" would not be used. see https://uwf.edu/ >cassh>writing lab>mini-lessons.

    NOW...

As Mr. Putter has drawn into question whether it is a real name or a nickname, I would surmise that a capital "D" is optional.

Finally, if you search his member name via WGT player search, it works regardless of whether you use "D" or "d".

    Finally...

    craigswan:
    According to wikipedia

    Wikipedia should be capitalized.

EDIT: I went back a few times to correct typos, etc..hope I got them all,  before a reply - LMAO

It makes me cringe when people use all caps for LMAO and LOL .
