*Announcement: Android Min Version Changing to 5.0 Lollipop

  Hi everyone, 

  With our next release, set to release next week, we will be ending support for Android devices below version 5.0 Lollipop. This means that if you are running a version lower than Android 5.0, WGT will no longer be playable on your device. 

  To check which Android version you have: 

  1. Open your device's Settings app.

  2. Near the bottom, tap System and then System update.

  3. See your "Android version" and "Android security update."

  We don't make changes like these without careful and thorough consideration, so this decision was made so we're able to bring you the best game play experience possible.

  Updating our minimum compatible version to Android 5.0 allows us to add more features to the game and keep existing services running properly, including "Earn Free Credits" and Facebook Login. 

  If you do not have another smart phone or tablet with a compatible version, you can also download WGT on Windows, MacOS and Steam to continue playing with your same account.

  Hi Champ,

  The instructions for some people to check what version of Android they have may be slightly different from what you've stated. On my Android device, I need to do the following:

  1. Open Settings

  2. Scroll to bottom and select About phone/device

  3. Software Info

  Hope this helps some people.

  The update was delayed and went out this morning on January 31.

  Champ,

  I rarely play on mobile and my phone handles the updated version, but ...

  1.  Why did WGT re-design the club tournament display available in PCEA?  I see worse things and nothing better.  Specifically, (1) if one enters a tournament one has to play immediately (WHY?), (2) dates for rounds in multi-player rounds no longer shown.

  If there is an improvement, enlighten me.

  2.  When do we get the AS fixes that have been requested for over a year?  I won't repeat them.  You have heard them from many players in many forum threads, as well as in private text messages.

  3.  Cross-platform play and uneven lies:  I guess those are both figments of our imagination.

  Please tell your engineers to do something useful and not break what was OK.
