AlaskanDame: I have a club member who is familiar with the forfeiting glitch and how to deal with it, but here’s something new that he had earlier today: played his first 6 holes fine and was waiting for a match to be made for the last 3. The game spun possible matches for a bit and then said “Match can’t be started because the showdown round is over.” And then it said he had been given three bogeys for holes 7-9.
AKD,
Rule #1 in Showdown often explained by WGT is unfinished hole is a bogey.
Are you sure your member did not finish in time? Cut it too close?
The spinning might have prevented him from starting last match so I empathize. But we all have learned too long spinning, exit out and come back.
But for some sympathy for your member, and it has happened to me, just as I exited out on last 3 holes, game came on and I got hit with a forfeit and +3. Awful timing, WGT gremlins.
Tom.
