Part of me agrees with you Stevie, stick around long enough and it may even itself out, and yes I like the challenge of high winds.
In unlimited's there is no issue, I actually have no real issue in 100 credit knocks, but in the high stakes, with limited tees available per day.
When the pro's play a course they can see the weather before they start, have an accurate forecast, and likely the last 15 pairs out onto the course on any given Sunday will all get pretty much the same conditions. There is a level of predictability.
I think though this discussion is about testing ourselves with parity, in whatever conditions and having the person who plays best win. I don't think anyone can argue with that, if a certain individual walked off with the spoils every time, so be it, if they played best i have no grumble with that. What i do have an issue with is if someone plays fantastic and loses to someone who played just ok, but the latter had great wind assistance. How is that fair? As has been said above we wouldnt tolerate that in a MPC, or AS game, so why accept it in a high stakes RG?
Perhaps a way forward is have fixed conditions RG's and random conditions RG's, and let people decide which they prefer?
