Has any player yet mapped the distance each R11 club travels from pw to 3I. I have noticed that some of my lower clubs seem to travel 4/5 yrds more than the stated amount. I would be interested to hear from any player who has experimented with them. It would be great if some player has actually mapped each club and distance....

I editted this post.  I am a little happier with these numbers...  All are Full Back Spin...

    pw -120,

    9 -135,

    8 - 151,

    7 - 160,

6 - 170 (Full BS minus 2 pixels and it goes 176...go figure),

    5 - 192,

    4 - 205,

    3 - 223.

Still getting some wtf shots. The 150 yarder with full BS and a bit less of power... gave me 145, I was expecting 139-140. The 180 yarder against an 8 mph wind traveled 198 in one occasion without BS (Hole 17 Kiawah) and in another hole in the same course.. went  200 on the fly, for a hole at 197 with about 9 mph tailwind. It passed the hole! In a hole that is about 218 I have used 210 with some BS and have been close to the hole. I doubt now if the distances are with full BS or not, but in other cases I have been short. I am not sure the distances of some holes are ok(though I am sure they have measured them) cause I keep getting good, excellent and wtf shots with them. In most cases they have gone about the expected distances losing 5-10 with full BS.

Maybe the tiny bit less of a full swing offers more control, hence better contact .

Just a thought.  IRL  it always seems I make better contact when I dont try to kill the ball.

    Probably the Callaway Z.

Ya, it has to be a Z ball because I get different numbers with the (s) ball. I used BPB 10, 11 and 12 fairways and went both ways (back and forth) to average out the low winds, usually 2-3.

Full back spin with the (s) ball knocks 7-8 yards off every club except the 4 and 7 irons. I kept getting 10-12 on both of these irons. These were carry distances because I listen for the thump and fairways stop whatever rollout you would normally get on a green.

This was only about an hour of shooting but each club was hit a good 10 times at least. The 4 and 7 got more because I still can't figure out why they're different.

I did notice that deviation on missed hits was all over the place, a lot of times adding yardage like the 6i above. For this reason I tend to lay off the spin and choke the club. You get less deviation and more often than not, a good result. I've also learned to look at spin two ways with these clubs-1/2 spin for rollout control and full spin for turbo action on landing as well as distance control.

Jim...I have experienced much the same as you describe.  I also find that the R11's are more susceptible to head and tail wind than are the Burners...that is and for example, the R11s lose much more distance into a medium or strong head wind than do the Burners...Harve
