Agree with B2B, not a good idea at all. Just knowing your opponent's club selection wouldn't do much for you because...
1) First off, the chance of both players using the same club is slim.
2) Plus the same ball? Even more so.
3) You don't know the power % your opponent used.
4) Nor the spin rate
5) Nor the aiming spot
6) And whether he successfully executed his shot as intended or not, you have no idea.
IMO, on the contrary, the first player usually has a pull over the second because by playing a good shot first, you're putting a pressure on your opponent. To me, it's a huge advantage.
