Uploading a profile pic

  Hi

  Please advise, im trying to upload a picture, know where to go, know what to do, saved the pic as a gif so its small enough to upload yet when i browse, find the pic and click upload nothing happens!! Am i doing anything wrong here?? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
