I have never experienced it in anything other than coin rooms. Obviously when apparel is enabled there is one set of figures and when not enabled there is another. All I mean is that in coin rooms when it should be enabled it sometimes isn’t if you click on oppositions profile before hitting your first shot.

sorry I didn't catch that - I guess I didn't read closely enough.  if checking your opponents profile somehow disables your own apparel - I will have to watch for that - I almost always check what country club the person is in, just in case it is a club member i don't know by name.

    thanks for clarifying.

This bug only ever seems to trigger if you check their profile before you have made a hit , if you make your first shot then check their profile it isn’t triggered .

I've see it in every format you can name- including alt shot- where we all know each other and no one would click on a profile.

the lone exception is when apparel is turned off for tourney or by game host in multi player.

It's happened to me once or twice previously, but not in a while.  I only have apparel to maximise driver and 3w distance (level 10 in both), and only put them on for Showdowns.  Just played the current Showdown and forgot to put the apparel on for the first 3 holes.  Put them on before starting the next 3 holes at St Andrews.  It was only on the 2nd tee that I noticed my driver distance was only showing 294yds (should be 312yds with apparel on), and the same on the 3rd hole.  And on the 3rd hole it only went 302yds when I know it should have gone further.  My 2nd shot on the 3rd hole was with the 3w (par 5 14th hole), and that was showing as 254yds when it should have been 268yds.  Unfortunately I forgot to look how far it went, but I'm pretty sure it was a lot less than 268yds as I was still short of the green.  I had not looked at the other player's profile until we were on the 1st green, and at that point I hadn't noticed what the displayed driver distance was.

    Does this bug still exist?

Nico - is this a known bug, is it on the list to be fixed, and is the error just cosmetic like others have said (the distance incorrectly displayed, but the ball still goes the full apparel-on distance), or is the maximum distance as displayed on the screen even though it should be more?

Maybe the changing of clothes triggered some other bug...

When this happens to me its just a display issue, clubs still go the distance they should but the display yardage is incorrect and I use same hat/shirt, Ive never had it happen in Single Player modes...

    And yes, its still happening.

I will note - that I have noticed it happen when going to play ranked rounds for practice or just practice rounds - which both options also allows for apparel to be played.

Before I noticed this - I always thought it was triggered in some way by your opponent - but if you are playing a solo round - what opponent is causing it?

just another bug / glitch in the game you have to deal with.

the workaround for practicing is to just take all the crap apparel off - to be safe - otherwise you may question shots that appear to deviate more than usual.
