So I have a putter that has scale of 20,40,60 etc. The auto caddy sets the scale at 40 but it's a down hill put so I change the meter to 20. I putt & come up way short because the meter scale stayed at 40 even though I'm 100% sure that I changed it. I just lost a game because of this! This happens at least a couple of times a day. I'm sure it happens on my clubs also. Sometimes I come up way short or go way to long & I think that maybe I just made a bad read. It's very obvious on the putter though. WGT, PLEASE add an option to disable the auto caddy & fix this stupid bug!!!

The meter appears to default back to what it originally was set (by auto caddie), even after you changed it, if you switch cameras after you set the meter scale. In your case, if you changed the meter from 40 to 20, and then switch to reverse cam to check line, if you switch back to regular view before putting, oftentimes the meter resets.

It has ruined many rounds for me as well.  It is something I alluded to in a prior reply in this thread. Once YOU set the meter, WGT should not change it back!!! IMHO

I've heard of that bug but I didn't switch to reverse view at any time. You would think with the amount of money that many of us spend on this game that they could fix these bugs that affect game play.

Deleted. In wrong thread ... non-meter related.

If you are mobile…this is a recurring issue. As HP describes, the same happens in mobile. Additionally, in mobile the scale defaults to a 20’ scale (for my putter). I change views, change back to the original view, confirm 20’ scale, then hit my putt..ball moves 3’. Look at scale again; it had changed to the 10’ scale. Happened again last night. WC #13, 12’ putt below the upper hole; had this putt many times; it is straight. Hit for 12.5’ on the 20’ scale, ball moves 5’; glance at scale; without changing views, without changing scales, the game had changed to 10’ scale. Irritating to say the least.

It doesn't make sense, say you wanted to putt 12ft.  On the 40 meter you'd want to hit 30% but you thought you'd changed to the 20 meter so should have been hitting 60%.  How did you finish way short?  If it had gone back to the 40 meter you should have gone twice the intended distance.

The only way to finish "way short" would be for you to be on the 20 meter and hit the wrong %.

HP did explain the most common problem with putting meters and a sensible way of solving it.

You are correct, doesn't make sense. I meant to say that I went way long. Don't know what I was thinking. My bad lol

Coin room/H2H problem, you can change club but once you change view the club is reset back to where it was.May I suggest you play regular Ranked games and that will never happen again.

Surprisingly I play only ranked rounds and this happens to me at least once if not twice each day. When you least expect it it jumps up and bites you in the ***. Unfortunate…
